The festival will be staged between February 26 - 28 2026 in Ilulissat, a beautiful Arctic town on the edge of the mighty Ilulissat Kangerlua (Ilulissat Icefjord) famous worldwide for its city block sized icebergs.
All concerts will be held outdoors near the amazing Icefjord Center. We plan to build an amphitheatre from snow so you are protected from the wind, but will still be able to see the stars and the moon.

Join us to experience Miké, Terje and Sissel perform together under the icy, inky black sky!
Pettersen has collaborated with artists like Chick Corea, Marilyn Mazur, Lionel Loueke, Marc Ducret, Jon Balke, Toumani Diabaté, Django Bates, John Hollenbeck, Theo Bleckmann, Christian Wallumrød, Terje Isungset, Tim Hagans, Helge Sten, and Ståle Storløkken. She regularly collaborates in contemporary dance and theatre, as a performer, composer, and musician, and also exhibits her paintings and graphic prints as a visual artist.
Miké is known in Greenland for his TV appearances, films and concerts and has a large number of followers. His work is strongly rooted in Inuit culture, drum-dance, chanting and storytelling but is also under significant influences from international modern world.
After her first performance on stage at the Ilulissat Culture House with her cousin Niels Dorph (also a musician), she knew she wanted to pursue a career as a musical artist. This passion has led to performances across Greenland, Denmark, and productions at the Danish Royal Theatre House and The National Theatre of Greenland.
In recent years, Paninnguaq has immersed herself in traditional Greenlandic Inuit throat singing, a form of storytelling that is experiencing a resurgence among young women in Greenland. By blending the old ways with modern life’s Instagram and TikTok culture, she is breathing new life into this ancient art form.
We are thrilled to hear the magic she weaves as she returns to the Ice Music Festival for a second year!
